The project participants will carry out a sociological and educational survey in order to establish the level of awareness of the local population and holiday makers about the National Park and other features of the natural reserve fund. They will also enlighten people about the issues the National Park is dealing with. Additionally, the scholarship winners will take part in setting up an eco-path “Bulgarian-Alan Settlement”, assist scientists to find and register certain types of plants and rid the Park from litter.

Apart from this, there are a number of features of historical importance scattered on the Park’s territory, such as the remnants of Zmiiv Cossacks’ Monastery, the last shelter for Cossacks in Ukraine.
