Recovery-Kyiv-Photo-scaled.jpg RECOVERY is the biggest network of the innovative rehabilitation centres for wounded soldiers in Ukraine. The project was founded by Victor and Olena Pinchuk in 2022 to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

- Key objectives of the RECOVERY project Creating a national network of the innovative rehabilitation centres for wounded soldiers;

- Sending severely wounded soldiers abroad for complex prosthetics;

- World-class educational programmes for multidisciplinary rehabilitation teams.

At present, 11 RECOVERY rehabilitation centers offer free services in Kyiv, Lviv, Rivne, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, two facilities in Odesa and three — in Dnipro region.

All RECOVERY centres are equipped with innovative equipment and are designed in accordance with international standards of inclusiveness and technology.  For the comfort and convenience of military patients, the centres have wide doorways, no thresholds and a special anti-slip flooring, as well as handrails in the corridors. The rooms are equipped with multifunctional beds with electric drive, functional furniture for a comfortable stay, as well as inclusive bathrooms and showers.

The innovative equipment and VR devices in RECOVERY centers stand the defenders in good stead, helping them accelerate the recovery time. The equipment covers the entire spectrum of functional disorders, including those caused by mine injuries, and help restore walking, as well as lost functions of the upper and lower limbs at a high technological level.

Multidisciplinary teams of medical professionals, including specialists in physical rehabilitation medicine, physical therapists, occupational therapists, massage therapists, assistants, speech therapists, and psychologists, operate within the centers. Their high-tech equipment and qualifications ensure the provision of high-quality, affordable, and evidence-based rehabilitation care for Ukrainian defenders.

The founders of the project, Victor and Olena Pinchuk, plan to expand the network to at least 16 innovative rehabilitation centres by the end of 2024, where about 20,000 defenders will be able to recover annually.

With the RECOVERY project, wounded Ukrainian soldiers will be able to recover according to the world’s highest standards.
