On 14 April, the Victor Pinchuk Foundation is to Present New Heroes of Ukraine at the “Pride Of The Country 2009” Award Ceremony

The annual award ceremony honouring the laureates of the national Prize "Pride Of The Country" will take place on Wednesday, 14 April 2010. For the seventh year running, the Victor Pinchuk Foundation in partnership with the Novy Channel and Fakty newspaper present to the Ukrainian nation its new heroes. Traditionally, the award ceremony will be held on the stage of the National Ivan Franko Drama Theatre in Kyiv.

A recorded TV version of the event will be broadcasted on 24 April at 22:10 on the Novy Channel.

The Pride Of The Country Prize is established to celebrate uncommon deeds of common people whose strength of spirit and big heart can make the impossible possible, giving us reasons to feel proud to live in the same country with them. This event sets a positive example for the society, making Ukrainians believe in their own strength, respect themselves and feel proud for their homeland. Since 2004, over one hundred Ukrainians from all over the country have become the Prize laureates. Each year, over four million people watch the recorded version of the award ceremony - it is nearly one in ten Ukrainians.

Psychological aspects of military rehabilitation: overview of the Recover together seminar

A two-day seminar Recover together was held in Kyiv as part of the educational programme of the Victor Pinchuk and Olena Pinchuk national project RECOVERY. More than 150 participants and 30 top speakers from Ukraine, Israel, Germany and the United States gathered for a professional discussion on the psychological aspects of multidisciplinary rehabilitation teams and their interaction with military personnel.

Victor Pinchuk Foundation opened the Russian War Crimes Exhibition at The Dodd Center for Human Rights at the Connecticut University, USA

The Victor Pinchuk Foundation and PinchukArtCentre, in partnership with the Office of the President of Ukraine opened the Russian War Crimes exhibition during the Human Rights Summit at The Dodd Center for Human Rights at the University of Connecticut (USA). The project shows photos taken from all over Ukraine since the start of Russia’s brutal and unprovoked full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022. Even so, it only addresses a fraction of the committed crimes. It makes the Western audience witness the stories of torture, executions, and bombardments committed by Russians against Ukraine’s service members and civilians.

October 26, 2023. -- The Ukrainian businessman and philanthropist Victor Pinchuk has accepted the Thomas J. Dodd Prize in International Justice and Human Rights on behalf of the Babyn Yar Holocaust Memorial Center.  The University of Connecticut awards the Thomas J. Dodd Prize in International Justice and Human Rights biennially to an individual or group who has made a significant contribution to the advancement of international justice and global human rights.
