Victor Pinchuk Foundation and EastOne host Davos Ukrainian Breakfast “Changing World. Changed Ukraine?” on January 22

On Friday, January 22, 2016, in Davos (Switzerland), the Victor Pinchuk Foundation and international investment advisory group EastOne will host the Ukrainian Breakfast, their traditional private event organized at the occasion of the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum.

This year, the speakers will discuss the topic “Changing World. Changed Ukraine?”: In a world dominated by multiple crises, where is Ukraine’s place? And are reforms in Ukraine reaching a critical mass that leads to real and irreversible change?

Among the speakers will be Aivaras Abromavičius, Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine; José Manuel Barroso, President of the European Commission (2004-2014); Carl Bildt, Prime Minister of Sweden (1991-1994) and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sweden (2006-2014); Sir Richard Branson, Founder of Virgin Group; Chrystia Freeland, Minister of International Trade of Canada, and Natalie Jaresko, Minister of Finance of Ukraine.

Niall Ferguson, Laurence A. Tisch Professor of History, Harvard University, will moderate the discussion.

Leaders from Ukrainian politics, business, civil society and media will attend the event. The Ukrainian Breakfast has been organized annually since 2005 to promote Ukraine and bring Ukrainian and international leaders together.

The event will be held under Chatham House rules in accordance with the rules of the World Economic Forum.

The Davos Ukrainian Lunch (Davos Ukrainian Breakfast in 2015 and 2016) is a private event dedicated to Ukraine, held annually in Davos at the occasion of the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum. It gives world leaders an opportunity to learn about and discuss Ukraine’s political and economic situation and challenges. The Victor Pinchuk Foundation and international investment advisory group EastOne have been hosting the event since 2005. The Victor Pinchuk Foundation is an international, private and non-partisan philanthropic foundation based in Ukraine. It was established in 2006 by businessman and public figure Victor Pinchuk. State-of-the-art rehabilitation centre for wounded soldiers RECOVERY opened in Poltava

From now on, the innovative rehabilitation centre for the military RECOVERY will operate in Poltava. This is the 12th centre of the all-Ukrainian network founded by Victor and Olena Pinchuk to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It will provide free and evidence-based rehabilitation services to 2,000 servicemen and women annually.

Another branch of the innovative rehabilitation centre RECOVERY, which has been providing free assistance to wounded soldiers since April 2023, has been opened in Odesa. From now on, more than 1,500 defenders of Ukraine will be able to recover here every year.
