Victor Pinchuk Foundation’s Zavtra.UA Programme Announces Start of Open Competition for 4th “YOU Camp – Youth, Opportunities, Unity” Summer Camp

The Victor Pinchuk Foundation’s Zavtra.UA scholarship programme with support of the Coca-Cola Foundation announce the start of the open competition for the 4th “YOU Camp – Youth, Opportunities, Unity” summer camp for Ukrainian 1-6 year students. Half of the students to be selected will represent temporarily transferred universities from the occupied territories in eastern Ukraine, and the other half will be representing universities in other regions. They will work together on projects geared towards sustainable economic and social development of Ukraine.

Due to quarantine limitations, this year, YOU Camp will be held online. To take part, an application form has to be filled and submitted before July 18th, 2020. It will run on August 1 through 9, 2020.

YOU Camp will provide students with practical skills to develop and implement projects, it will enable them to enjoy mentor support from experts in varied fields and help to establish useful networks. The students will learn how to gather data and process information, develop effective business plans, raise funds and present projects to clients and public. 

The students will be developing projects in the fields provided for in the UNDP’s Sustainable Development Goals: Ukraine, including: no poverty (goal 1), good health and well-being (goal3), quality education (goal4), decent work and economic growth (goal 8), industry, innovation and infrastructure (goal 9), sustainable cities and communities (goal 11), and peace, justice and strong institutions (goal 16). Winning projects will enjoy financial and expert support from the organizers.

YOU Camp continues in the tradition of the Victor Pinchuk Foundation’s successful cooperation with the Coca-Cola Foundation. In 2013-2015, the Climate Change Camp was organised by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation with the support of the Coca-Cola Foundation, where the Zavtra.UA scholarship holders had an opportunity to raise awareness to environmental problems and propose solutions. In 2018 and 2019, the Coca-Cola Foundation supported the 2nd and the 3rd YOU Camp summer camps. 

The goal of the Zavtra.UA programme for the past 14 years has been to create a new generation of change makers: a generation with excellent education and skills, with mastery of the best international practices and ideas; a generation that will think and feel differently, and so be able to make an important contribution to building the country. The program has been fulfilling the mission of the Victor Pinchuk Foundation to empower new generations to become the change-makers of tomorrow since 2006.
