The Victor Pinchuk Foundation has announced the names of the winners in the 11th WorldWideStudies programme competition.

The Victor Pinchuk Foundation has announced the names of the winners in the 11^th WorldWideStudies programme competition. They will receive grants to study under master programmes at the world’s best universities. The grant holders will also join the WorldWideStudies community: a group of professionals changing Ukraine already now.

This year’s grantees are: Stepanyda Badovska (University of Oxford, MSc in Law and Finance) and Olena Vynogradova (Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights, master programme in Transitional Justice).

The winners will start studying this autumn at the UK’s and Switzerland’s universities. The Victor Pinchuk Foundation’s obligatory requirement for all grant recipients is a commitment to return to Ukraine and work in their speciality for at least 5 years following graduation.

The grantees were selected by a special independent jury in an open nationwide competition. This year’s jury members were: WWS alumni, representatives of the Victor Pinchuk Foundation, SigmaBleyzer and AgroGeneration, U.World Foundation, WNISEF, law firms Sayenko Kharenko, Arzinger and other.

Since 2009, 116 young Ukrainians have received WorldWideStudies programme grants and studied or are studying at 57 world’s best universities. 3% of them are current members of Ukrainian Parliament, more than 52% grantees implement new standards in business on senior and top management positions, 15% grant holders work at state bodies and international organisations, others lead their own companies and NGOs or continue their academic work.
