As part of the WorldWideStudies program Victor Pinchuk Foundation announces launch of educational project WorldWideStudies – Engineers of the Future in Dnipropetrovsk, which is aimed at fostering new generation of professional elites in engineering and technology areas.

Under this program young people of Dnipropetrovsk will have an opportunity to gain financial and administrative support of the Foundation to pursue a Master’s degree at one of the world’s best universities[1] in the engineering field selected by the Foundation as the top priority for the future development of the region and Ukraine.

Thomas Weihe,Deputy Head of the Board of the Victor Pinchuk Foundation: “When launching pilot project in Dnipropetrovsk, we have used experience of the WorldWideStudies program in a particular city, combining international focus of the program and the needs of a specific geographic area. Professional engineering and technical personnel are crucial for the development of Ukraine. Dnipropetrovsk with its numerous engineering universities is one of the best sites for such a project. Furthermore, it is in this region where Foundation currently implements a variety of projects in different fields which are designed to open up new opportunities for the people of this territory, and above all - for the younger generation.”

Grants from the Victor Pinchuk Foundation under Dnipropetrovsk regional project WorldWideStudies – Engineers of the Future will cover tuition fees and other expenses included by the university in the general budget for the training period of one to two years. Grants will be awarded to the most successful candidates selected in the course of an open competition. Participants of the competition must be residents of Dnipropetrovsk with Ukrainian citizenship and be under 35 years of age on the date of enrollment in the University; they must have a Bachelor’s or higher Degree in the field required by the chosen foreign University and the Master’s program.
