Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine awards the Victor Pinchuk Foundation for its activities in the fileld of education

In April 2011 the Victor Pinchuk Foundation received two awards from the Ukrainian Ministry of Education, Science, Youth and Sports, as well as the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, for its international activities in education and international cooperation in this field. Award certificates were presented at the specialized international exhibition “Education and Career - 2011”.

At present the Victor Pinchuk Foundation implements two educational projects: grant program to obtain Master’s degree abroad - WorldWideStudies and nationwide scholarship program Zavtra.UA. Both programs are intended to form and consolidate new generation of intellectual and business elites of our country from the best students of domestic graduation schools.

Last year under the WorldWideStudies project, scholarships were awarded to 17 students who are now getting their Master’s Degrees in the world’s best universities in 6 countries.

The WorldWideStudies program of the Victor Pinchuk Foundation came into an agreement with the Cambridge Overseas Trust to enhance scholarships available for applicants from Ukraine, by co-funding the WorldWideStudies Cambridge Scholarship. Starting 2011, students who applied to the University of Cambridge will be able to get the rest of financing from the Cambridge Overseas Trust in case they meet the conditions set by WorldWideStudies.

Program “Zavtra.UA” was launched 5 years ago and since then over 1000 students from nearly 70 universities in Ukraine were awarded with scholarships. The fourth Forum “Zavtra” will be organized at the end of May where this year’s winners will be announced. Scholars of the project "Zavtra.UA" implemented more than 20 social projects, which have been supported by the Foundation. They also participated in the YES Annual Meeting in Yalta, where they met top political leaders of the world.
