PinchukArtCentre re-opens after quarantine

On Tuesday, 28 July 2020, the PinchukArtCentre will re-open for visitors after a break for the quarantine. The current exhibition features works by 20 artists shortlisted for the PinchukArtCentre Prize, a nationwide prize for Ukrainian artists aged 35 or younger. The project presents new and recent works created by artists and art groups from all over Ukraine. The show is located on the PinchukArtCentre’s levels 3,4 and 5.

In order to prevent the epidemic spreading, the art centre will be undertaking special safety measures. At this point, the art centre space, including the café on the 6th level, will be capable to accommodate a limited number of visitors, up to 100 people at a time. Additionally, guided tours and public events have been temporarily suspended.

When visiting the PinchukArtCentre, please respect the following safety measures:

  • use individual protection means: a mask or a respirator tightly sealing your mouth and nose;
  • have a temperature check at the entrance;
  • when visiting the show, keep the 1.5-meter distance;
  • refrain from visiting and stay at home if ARVI marks observed.

During the quarantine, the art centre team continued to introduce contemporary art to Ukrainians. Over that time, online comic series “Art in Quarantine” was created; the International Museum Day was held online; a series of art classes for the All-Ukrainian Online School was developed; new educational and entertainment formats on social networks were launched; and the PinchukArtCentre Research Platform started a new cycle of online lectures, “7 O’clock Academy”, telling about the anatomy of art.

The PinchukArtCentre’s visiting hours remain unchanged: Opening hours: Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 9 pm. Monday is off. Admission is free.
