YES Summer university is to work September 14 -16 in Kyiv

September 14-16 in parallel with the EU-Ukraine Summit in Kyiv there will work a YES Summer university by Yalta European Strategy (YES). It will gather representatives of the Youth Organizations affiliated with the three major European Political Families - the European People's Party, the European Socialists and the European Liberals - together with similar organizations affiliated with Ukrainian political parties and youth NGOs.

Speakers at the YES Summer University will include President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso, European Commissioner Meglena Kuneva, Vice President of the European Parliament and YES Board Member Marek Siwiec, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Arseniy Yatseniuk.

The objectives are to help establish a network between Ukrainian future political leaders and future political leaders of the EU member states; to identify, educate and promote talented EU-friendly Ukrainian political leaders of tomorrow, and to advocate Ukraine and its European destiny by opening it to the European youth political community. The YES Summer University is expected to help open a new vision of Ukraine and the EU and to serve as a vehicle for communication between the EU and Ukrainian youth.
