Victor Pinchuk Foundation and EastOne hosted Davos Ukrainian Breakfast “The Future of Ukraine in a Changing World”

On Thursday, January 19, 2017, in Davos (Switzerland), the Victor Pinchuk Foundation and international investment advisory group EastOne held the Ukrainian Breakfast, their traditional private event organized at the occasion of the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum. This year, the speakers discussed the topic “The Future of Ukraine in a Changing World”.

Among the speakers were David Cameron, Prime Minister of the UK (2010-2016); Dr. Robert Gates, 22nd U.S. Secretary of Defense (2006-2011). Fareed Zakaria, Host, Fareed Zakaria GPS, CNN, moderated the discussion.

The event was attended by: Carl Bildt, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Sweden (2006-2014), Prime Minister of Sweden (1991-1994); Kristian Jensen, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Denmark; Wolfgang Ischinger, Chairman of the Munich Security Conference; Natalia Katser-Buchkovska, Member of the Parliament of Ukraine; Aleksander Kwasniewski, President of the Republic of Poland (1995-2005); Chairman of the Supervisory Board, YES; Vitali Klitschko, Mayor of Kiev; Sergii Leshchenko, Member of the Parliament of Ukraine; Victor Pinchuk, businessman and philanthropist; Anders Fogh Rasmussen, 12th Secretary General, NATO (2009-2014); Prime Minister of Denmark (2001-2009); Oleksiy Ryabchyn, Member of the Parliament of Ukraine and others.

The Davos Ukrainian Breakfast is a private event dedicated to Ukraine, held annually in Davos at the occasion of the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum. It gives world leaders an opportunity to learn about and discuss Ukraine’s political and economic situation and challenges. The Victor Pinchuk Foundation and international investment advisory group EastOne have been hosting the event since 2005. Among the speakers have been Bronislaw Komorowski, Carl Bildt, José Manuel Barroso, Sir Richard Branson, Thomas Friedman, Chrystia Freeland, Vitali Klitschko, Alexei Kudrin, Aleksander Kwasniewski, Chris Patten, Petro Poroshenko, George Soros, Javier Solana, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, Yulia Tymoshenko, Arseniy Yatseniuk, Victor Yushchenko, and others.
