Davos Ukrainian Lunch 2011

On Friday, 28 January 2011, in Davos (Switzerland), the Victor Pinchuk Foundation and international investment advisory group EastOne held the 7th Davos Ukrainian Lunch at the occasion of the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum. This year’s Davos Ukrainian Lunch entitled ‘[email protected]&UA’ featured the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych and the President of Poland Bronislaw Komorowski.

The key topics included preparations to the UEFA 2012 European Football Championship (EURO 2012) that was jointly hosted by Poland and Ukraine. The two heads of states also focused on issues like developing the countries’ tourism potential, ways of raising investments to fund major infrastructure projects, and fostering the European and global integration of Ukraine within the framework of the cooperation with Poland.

Around 300 leaders from business, politics, the third sector and journalists will attend the event.

The Davos Ukrainian Lunch is the most preeminent international gathering dedicated to Ukraine, held annually in Davos at the occasion of the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum. It is dedicated to giving world leaders an opportunity to learn about and discuss Ukraine’s political and economic situation and challenge. The Victor Pinchuk Foundation and international investment advisory group EastOne have been hosting the Davos Ukrainian Lunch since 2005. Since then the Ukrainian Lunch featured, among others, Carl Bildt, Aleksander Kwasniewski, Chris Patten, George Soros, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, Thomas Friedman, and Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
