Victor Pinchuk Foundation has donated two powerful compressors to Cradles of Hope partner centres in Ternopil and Lutsk

The Victor Pinchuk Foundation, supporting the Cradles of Hope partner centres in these extremely difficult days for our country, purchased two powerful compressors to ensure the operation of respiratory equipment at the Ternopil Regional Perinatal Centre "Mother and Child" and the Perinatal Centre of the Volyn Regional Territorial Medical Association motherhood and childhood (Lutsk). The overall cost of Aridyne TM 2000-EX compressors has amounted UAH 236,000.

The war broke the peace plans of Ukrainians and forced many to flee from the eastern and central regions of our country to the west and seek temporary refuge in safer towns and villages. Maternity hospitals and perinatal centres in the western regions are working under a heavy load due to the increased flow of internally displaced pregnant women. Regional perinatal centres in Ternopil and Lutsk are no exception.

Recently, the number of missile strikes in Ternopil and Volyn regions has increased, thus teams of these perinatal centres have equipped basements for shelters, where medical care will be provided to women and children during air strikes and shelling.

Compressors donated by the Foundation will ensure uninterrupted operation of ventilators and respiratory support for babies in critical conditions.

Neonila Skubenko, head of the neonatal intensive care unit of the Ternopil Regional Perinatal Centre "Mother and Child": "We are sincerely grateful that even in such terrible times, when everyone is focused on helping our Defenders, the Victor Pinchuk Foundation does not forget about other front, where doctors also cherish the future of Ukraine. We are sincerely grateful for this promptly provided help, which is extremely important for us, the compressor is already "feeding" the air ventilator for little Theodore weighing 560g.”
