In the framework of "Cradles of Hope" program, the Victor Pinchuk Foundation will hold a research and practice seminar for neonatologists in Kyiv

On November 10-11, within the framework of the “Cradles of Hope” program, the Victor Pinchuk Foundation will hold in Kyiv a research and practice seminar entitled “Critical issues of neonatal intensive care and nursing”, which is intended for the NICU nurses.

The workshop continues an educational component of the “Cradles of Hope” program, under which the foundation focuses on systematic work to train and educate medical personnel of neonatal intensive care units and post-intensive nursing departments. Such training includes introduction of new trends and techniques of nursing infants with critically low body weight, promotes progressive approach in caring for premature babies and facilitates direct communication among top experts in the field.

More than 80 nurses working in the neonatal intensive care units of maternity hospitals, perinatal centers and children's hospitals from all parts of Ukraine will be joining the event. They will be attending lectures and communicating with representatives of the departments of pediatrics and neonatology from the Ukrainian universities, and also with the leading Ukrainian doctors and expert neonatologists.

Seminar agenda includes issues relating to neonatal resuscitation and care of ALV patients; issues on preventing infection and complications; safety, pain and stress of patients, as well as methods of developmental care. In addition, seminar participants will share experience and attend practical sessions.
