From 23 to 28 July the Victor Pinchuk Foundation conducts training for employees of intensive care unit for newborns in Kirovohrad

With the support of the Victor Pinchuk Foundation, an in-house training course aimed at improving skills of medical staff handling high-tech medical equipment will take place from 23 to 28 July 2012, in the perinatal center of Kirovohrad Regional Hospital. Training will be conducted by technical expert of the Foundation Volodymyr Mitin and experienced nurses from Zhytomyr Regional Perinatal Center Anna Laponoh and Yulia Ganska.

The training course program involves a wide range of issues related to treatment and care in a neonatal intensive care unit, including all types of respiratory support. Particular attention will be paid to analysis of factors that prevent disability of infants undergoing long term therapy.

In 2011 the Victor Pinchuk Foundation became a partner in the national project “New Life” initiated by the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych. Opening the neonatal center in Kirovohrad Regional Hospital in January 2012 was the first outcome of partnership of the Victor Pinchuk Foundation and the National Agency for Investment and management of national projects.

Since program launch, the Victor Pinchuk Foundation has been involved in providing regular training courses for staff of the “Cradles of Hope” partner clinics. During this time 572 health care workers from all over Ukraine have taken part in 15 training courses organized and conducted with the support of the Foundation.
