Centre for rendering help to the newborns "Cradles of hope" opened in Izmail

12:00 July 17 in Izmail (Odessa region) there was opened a Centre for rendering help to the newborns "Cradles of hope" in a town maternity clinic. In the opening participated medical professionals, representatives of town, rayon and region authority, representatives of the Victor Pinchuk Foundation.

Hitherto, the maternity clinic was not equipped sufficiently enough to render quality medical help to the newborns. Additional risk factor to life and health of the newborns was an extreme remoteness of a town of Izmail from the regional centre.

To give a timed and high-quality medical aid the Victor Pinchuk Foundation purchased and installed closed-type incubator for the newborns with exceptionally low weight at birth, neonatal resuscitation table, artificial ventilation machine, two phototherapy lamps, two infusion pumps, two pulse meters, two pressure monitors, two multifunctional stands, two aspirators, electronic weighing machines, fetal monitor. To have a timed diagnostic studies a stationary hypersonic scanner Honda 2500 was installed.

Specialized medical equipment of such a high class to render medical aid to the babies was installed in the Odessa regional for the first time. In September the Victor Pinchuk Foundation will open the "Cradles of hope" Centre in Odessa city perinatal centre, wherein a reparation works are being held.
