Victor Pinchuk Foundation and Yale University Sign Five-Year Collaboration to Advance Leadership of Ukrainian Veterans

KYIV, Ukraine —August 18, 2026 — The Victor Pinchuk Foundation and Yale University’s Jackson School of Global Affairs have signed a five-year collaboration agreement to expand the Ukrainian Veterans Leadership Program (UVLP), a leadership development initiative created by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation for Ukrainian veterans.

The agreement, which runs through June 2031, will support 11 cohorts of the program, with two cohorts held annually. More than 200 Ukrainian veterans and veteran women will have the opportunity to participate in the program at Yale University over the course of the collaboration.

The agreement builds on a successful pilot launched in April 2026 at the Yale Jackson School of Global Affairs, bringing together 15 Ukrainian veterans.

During the five-day program, participants explored contemporary leadership, communication, ethics, international affairs and global challenges, as well as Ukraine’s role in the world and the role of veterans in Ukrainian society. The program combined lectures, practical sessions and interactive discussions with Yale faculty and leading experts.

We have successfully completed the pilot phase of the program. The five-year agreement with Yale University transforms the initiative into a structured, long-term program that will help Ukrainian veterans, both men and women, develop their leadership potential and play an important role in Ukraine’s recovery and development,” said Svitlana Grytsenko, Head of the Ukrainian Veterans Leadership Program at the Victor Pinchuk Foundation.

We are proud to support these veteran leaders at Yale Jackson over the next five years,” said Jim Levinsohn, Charles W. Goodyear Professor of Global Affairs and Dean of Yale Jackson School of Global Affairs. “Our faculty and senior fellows will share their expertise in history, economics, political science, leadership, and the practice of global affairs with this extraordinary community of Ukrainian leaders to give them a rigorous Yale experience to match their heroism.”

The Victor Pinchuk Foundation will soon launch an open call for applications for the program’s second cohort. Ukrainian veterans who are committed to developing their leadership skills and applying them to their professional fields, communities and Ukraine will be invited to apply.

Details of the application process, eligibility criteria and application form will be announced shortly on the Foundation’s official platforms https://pinchukfund.org. The second cohort is scheduled to attend the program at Yale in November 2026.
