The Victor Pinchuk Foundation has provided assistance to the Odesa Cradles of Hope center

The Victor Pinchuk Foundation has covered the cost of repairing medical equipment and components for the neonatal intensive care unit of the Odesa Oblast Clinical Hospital's perinatal center. In particular, 5 reusable sensors for pulse oximeters, 5 temperature sensors, and 7 open resuscitation systems with automatic regulation were donated. The total cost of the sensors and repairs is UAH 168,121. 

Odesa Regional Clinical Hospital is a multidisciplinary medical institution. The hospital has a perinatal center that provides highly qualified medical care to all seriously ill pregnant women of reproductive age and their newborn children with perinatal pathology from Odesa and Odesa region, and, under martial law, to patients from the occupied territories and internally displaced persons, mainly from Kherson, Mykolaiv and Donetsk regions. The Odesa Perinatal Center, which annually performs about 2,000 deliveries, admits women with extragenital pathology and the threat of miscarriage. The Cradles of Hope partner center at the Odesa Oblast Clinical Hospital's perinatal center was opened in September 2007. The Foundation provided over UAH 1.6 million to equip an operating room and three resuscitation beds in the neonatal intensive care unit.

During the full-scale war, the Ukraine Relief Fund additionally funded a set of equipment for transporting babies to shelters - an incubator and a ventilator, as well as 3 patient heating systems worth UAH 1.6 million.

“Thanks to the Cradles of Hope project, our institution has received modern, reliable and high-quality equipment for neonatal intensive care,” says Maryna Kulchytska, Head of the neonatal intensive care unit. - “All the equipment supplied is in round-the-clock operation and allows us to save hundreds of lives every year. Under martial law, when we need quick solutions to problems, the Foundation's support is especially valuable.”

Over the period of cooperation with the perinatal center of the Odesa Oblast Clinical Hospital under the Cradles of Hope project (2007-2024), 70,812 babies were born at the center, including 7,416 who were treated in the neonatal intensive care unit. According to the centre's specialists, 6 803 children's lives have been saved during this period, including 1 700 babies thanks to the medical equipment provided by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation.
