Victor Pinchuk Foundation and EastOne to Host Davos Ukrainian Breakfast Discussion 2023

President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy will address the audience via video-link.

On January 19, 2023 in Davos (Switzerland), the Victor Pinchuk Foundation, and international investment advisory group EastOne, will host the annual Ukrainian Breakfast Discussion, their traditional ‘closed’ event, which takes place on the occasion of the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF). The discussion, which will focus on the most urgent issues facing Ukraine, will be moderated by Fareed Zakaria, host of Fareed Zakaria GPS on CNN.

The discussion panel will include: the Rt Hon Boris Johnson MP, Former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Larry Fink, Chairman & CEO of BlackRock, Bill Ford, Chairman & CEO of General Atlantic, Andrew Forrest, Executive Chairman of Fortescue Metals Group, Borys Gudziak, Metropolitan Archbishop of Philadelphia for Ukrainian Catholics in the United States and President of the Ukrainian Catholic University, Oleksandra Matviichuk, Chair of the Center for Civil Liberties, Mark Rutte, Prime Minister of the Netherlandsand, David Rubenstein, Co-Founder & Co-Chairman of the Carlyle Group, David Solomon, Chairman & CEO, Goldman Sachs, Yulia Svyrydenko, 1st Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine. 

The Ukrainian Breakfast (Lunch) discussion at Davos has been held annually since 2005 with the aim of putting Ukraine on the international agenda and to bring Ukrainian and international leaders together. 

In addition to the traditional Ukrainian Breakfast Discussion, the Victor Pinchuk Foundation will launch and host the Ukraine Is You project, an exhibition and ongoing three-day discursive programme designed to focus the world’s attention on the current assault on Ukraine, and Russia’s war crimes in Ukraine, but also on the hope and empowerment of defending and reconquering life and freedom. The Ukraine Is You project aims to build on the work begun by the Foundation with its successful ‘Russian War Crimes House’ exhibition, held on the occasion of the WEF meeting at Davos in 2022. 

The Victor Pinchuk Foundation will also continue its commitment to promoting Ukraine as an investment destination at the WEF annual meeting, once again co-organising the Ukraine House Davos.
