The first batch of armoured ambulances bought with the help of Victor and Olena Pinchuk has arrived in Ukraine from the UK

The first STANAG 4569 armoured ambulances have already arrived in Lviv and will be used to rescue wounded troops and civilians in the areas of hostilities. They are at the Health Ministry's distribution centre and will soon head for the hottest spots on the front line. These armoured vehicles can guarantee access to the most dangerous places, safely protecting our brave medics, soldiers, and civilians during evacuation from the battlefield.

The ambulances bought with the help of Victor and Olena Pinchuk previously belonged to the UK Ministry of Defence. The Venari Group, Britain's largest ambulance manufacturer, converted them to mobile intensive care units. Venari Group employees worked 24/7 to convert these vehicles for the wartime needs of Ukraine.

Victor Pinchuk noted: "The war against Ukraine is a war against freedom and life. Armoured ambulances will save the lives of those who defend our freedom and the freedom of Europe. Among other things we do to support our troops and medics, we could not have done it without our partners because such vehicles are not easy to find.

We are grateful to the Embassy of Ukraine in the UK, the Venari Group and UK MP Andrew Percy for their support and help with this project."

"Saving lives of those who save lives has been our goal since 2014, when we started to build a system of education and training for military medics together with NATO experts," Olena Pinchuk said. "Medsanbat trainers have been working in hotspots since the first days of the invasion and our task was to provide them with everything they needed. Armoured ambulances are the next step, enabling the medics to evacuate the wounded from the hotspots and get them to medical facilities in time. We personally visited the factory which converted the ambulances, and we know how much effort went into getting them to Ukraine as quickly as possible."
