Victor Pinchuk Foundation to support three winning projects of 4th “YOU Camp – Youth, Opportunities, Unity” Summer Camp
The Victor Pinchuk Foundation will provide expert and financial support to the winning projects of the 4th “YOU Camp – Youth, Opportunities, Unity” summer camp, organised by its Zavtra.UA scholarship programme, with the support of Coca-Cola Foundation. Three projects have been selected out of 16 ideas developed by the participants in the fields provided for in the UNDP’s Sustainable Development Goals: Ukraine.
The first place and UAH 100,000 for creation of a career guidance platform, helping prospective students to choose education in a conscious way, have been won by project UnitEd. The team members were: Sofia Denysiuk, Anastasia Gladkikh, Yulia Hrytsenko, Anastasia Krasyk, Yelyzaveta Kriukova, Bohdan Lepytsky, Viktoria Moseyko, Maria Mutel, Anastasia Nikolaieva, Olha Vitenko, Valerii Yarmak and Vitalii Zhurba.
The second place has been given to project Antibiotics are not Candies, aiming at making Ukrainians aware of proper use of antibiotics and antibiotic resistance as a result of medicine abuse. UAH 50,000 will be granted for its implementation. The team of the project developers included: Bohdan Avdeiev, Anastasia Fedorenko, Nadia Hryniv, Anastasia Khomenko, Tetiana Kotelnikova, Vladyslava Kozhukhar, Maria Kuleba, Tetiana Liniychuk, Anastasia Morkva, Daryna Savitska and Vitalia Sheveliuk.
The third place has been won by project Univera: a mobile application for students facilitating interaction with a university and embracing students, professors, administration and employers. The project team members were: Oleksandra Biriukova, Vladlena Bukayeva, Maksym Delikatnyi, Danylo Dermenzhy, Tetiana Gagara, Dmytro Haievsky, Diana Hladka, Kateryna Klymenko, Yulia Kozishkurt, Artem Kulesha, Mykhailo Rak, Alina Volkova and Oleksii Zakharov.
The jury that has selected the winners included: Oleksandr Bartle, regulatory affairs manager for Ukraine, Armenia and Moldova, Coca-Cola Beverages Ukraine Ltd.; Svitlana Grytsenko, director of national programmes at the Victor Pinchuk Foundation; Denys Gursky, chairman of the Board at SocialBoost; Ihor Liski, chairman of the Supervisory Board at Effective Investments Group; Diana Myronenko, director at U Nas Ye Syly charity foundation and author of Earth’s 17 Challenges.
This year, YOU Camp was held online due to quarantine limitations. 1-6 year students took part in it, where half of them represented temporarily transferred universities from the occupied territories in eastern Ukraine, and the other half represented universities from other regions. They worked together on projects geared towards sustainable economic and social development of Ukraine.
YOU Camp continues the tradition of the Victor Pinchuk Foundation’s successful cooperation with the Coca-Cola Foundation. In 2013-2015, the Climate Change Camp was organised by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation with the support of the Coca-Cola Foundation, where the Zavtra.UA scholarship holders had an opportunity to raise awareness to environmental problems and propose solutions. In 2018 and 2019, the Coca-Cola Foundation supported the 2nd and the 3rd YOU Camp summer camps.
The goal of the Zavtra.UA programme for the past 14 years has been to create a new generation of change makers: a generation with excellent education and skills, with mastery of the best international practices and ideas; a generation that will think and feel differently, and so be able to make an important contribution to building the country. The program has been fulfilling the mission of the Victor Pinchuk Foundation to empower new generations to become the change-makers of tomorrow since 2006.
