Victor Pinchuk Foundation launches a series of educational seminars for teachers in Dnipropetrovsk

Continuing implementation of educational projects aimed at preserving and developing intellectual potential of Ukraine, the Victor Pinchuk Foundation has launched the Open University Project - a series of educational seminars for secondary school teachers of Dnepropetrovsk city.

The project will be implemented in collaboration with the Dnepropetrovsk district departments of education, aiming to establish a system of charitable support of professional and personal development of the best teachers of secondary schools.

The first participants of the seminar held from 19 to 21 August were more than 30 history teachers of Samarskyi and Industrial districts of Dnepropetrovsk. Within three days of the event they attended lectures and talked to a number of practicing history teachers from the leading Ukrainian universities, learned about new teaching materials and literature, and also learned about modern interactive multimedia technologies and instruments of teaching history in schools. In addition, the workshop participants went through psychological training to help prevent burnout and to develop effective communication skills.

Open University Project seminars will be organized on a regular basis twice a year for teachers of different disciplines.
