Fashion AID collection T-shirts by Ukrainian artists and designers are now available at the PinchukArtCentre
From today all PinchukArtCentre visitors can purchase Fashion AID collection T-shirts dedicated to the topic of safe sex. The T-shirts’ design was created specifically for the Fashion AID project by Ukrainian artists and fashion designers, including Illya Chichkan, X’U Marchenko, Svitlana Bevza and Maria Bekh. They took part in the Olena Pinchuk ANTIAIDS Foundation’s Fashion AID project to show that everybody can contribute to the fight against AIDS. All proceeds from the sale of T-shirts will be directed to the Foundation’s projects to support HIV-positive children.
The T-shirts, each of them with a unique design, are showcased at the Fashion AID stand on the second floor of the PinchukArtCentre. The collection will be replenished regularly, allowing the visitors to pick a T-shirt to their own taste and liking.
Dennis Kazvan, PinchukArtCentre PR-director: “Over a million guests have visited the art centre and more than 60% of our visitors is Ukrainian youth from 16 to 30 years of age. It is the young people who find themselves in the HIV infection risk zone most frequently. Contemporary art, in its essence, is a bright, universal and understandable language for the youth. We are glad that the works by Ukrainian artists – in the form of T-shirt prints– are presented in a new social context and send a very important message “Take care of your life!” to all our visitors.”
