Victor Pinchuk Foundation signed Memorandum of Philanthropists of Ukraine

On 16 June, the Victor Pinchuk Foundation took part in the ceremony of signing the Memorandum of Philanthropists of Ukraine submitted in support for the laws "On charity activities and charity organizations" and "On introduction of amendments in some laws of Ukraine (regarding the reduction of tax burden for charity aid recipients)".

The largest philanthropic organizations of Ukraine signed the Memorandum, including Rinat Akhmetov's Foundation for Development of Ukraine, the International Renaissance Foundation, Alexander Feldman Foundation, Ukraine 3000 Foundation, Open Ukraine Foundation, Olena Franchuk ANTIAIDS Foundation, the Klitschko Foundation, Caritas Ukraine International Foundation, Sviatoslav Vakarchuk's "People of the Future" Foundation and other.

Representing the Victor Pinchuk Foundation at the ceremony, its Executive director Victoria Cherniavska stated: "Same as all our colleagues, we are certain of the need for reform in the charity legislation. And we understand that we must support and promote this reform by the joint effort of the charity and public institutions of our country. We are certain that introduction of the suggested amendments in charity legislation will lead not to the cut down in philanthropic expenditure, but rather to the increase of the number of aid recipients, increase of the aid efficiency and, subsequently, to solving numerous social issues within the area of state responsibility".
