In two days more than 6 thousand people have visited REFLECTION exhibition in the PinchukArtCentre

On Saturday, October 6, PinchukArtCentre opened REFLECTION exhibition representing the newest acquisitions from PinchukArtCentre's collection. Shortly after it was opened people formed a long queue at the entrance of PinchukArtCentre located at the Bessarabskiy block.

During the first two days of the exhibition, on October 6 and 7, 2007, it was visited by more than 6 thousand people. This may well be considered a record for PinchukArtCentre. A fascinating light show, decorating the gallery's walls at nighttime during the first days after the opening, also attracted a huge number of viewers.

REFLECTION exhibition in PinchukArtCentre is open for visitors from October 6 till December 30, 2007. PinchukArtCentre is open for visitors from Tuesday through Sunday from 12:00 till 21:00. Admission is free.

PinchukArtCentre (Kyiv, Ukraine) is one of the largest centres for contemporary art in Eastern Europe. Its key activities include arranging exhibitions, seminars, master-classes, providing support to cultural projects, etc. Since it was opened in September 2006, it hosted four large exhibitions: "First acquisitions", "GENERATIONS.UsA", "Vik Muniz: Expertise ", "Instinctive Eye: selected photographs from the collection of Sir Elton John". More than 145,000 thousand people have visited PinchukArtCentre.

PinchukArtCentre marked its second year by opening REFLECTION exhibition. Starting from October 6, 2007, visitors of the art-centre will have a chance to look at paintings, sculpture artwork, installations, photos and video installations created by the best artists of XXI century from Great Britain, Germany, Mexico, Poland, USA, Ukraine and Japan among which: Antony Gormley, Andreas Gursky, Damien Hirst, Christian Marclay, Sarah Morris, Marc Quinn, Sam Taylor-Wood, Piotr Uklanski, Gabriel Orozco, Jeff Koons, Takashi Murakami, Peter Doig, Richard Phillips, Vasyl Tsagolov, Serhiy Bratkov, Arsen Savadov, Illya Chichkan & "Blue Noses".

Damian Hirst, Antony Gormely, and Andreas Gursky also arrived in Kyiv to attend the official opening of REFLECTION exhibition. Jeff Koons and Antony Gormley, as well as other participants of the exhibition - three Ukrainian artists - Serhiy Btratkov, Arsen Savadov, and Illya Chichkan took part in a round-table session "21-century artist", held on the eve of the exhibition opening.
