President Clinton Concludes CGI Asia Meeting. Commitments unveiled have estimated value of US$185 million, to impact more than 10 million lives

December 2 2008 former President Clinton concluded the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) Asia meeting, which resulted in numerous examples of CGI members' Commitments to Action that will positively impact lives across the globe.

The International Conference Frontiers of Europe in Kyiv has ended

The main purpose of the Frontiers of Europe programme, developed by the Brookings Institution in 2006, is conducting research on the feasible policies for building a “whole and free” Europe (as well as the ways to obtain membership in the key institutions) and the prospects for gaining advantages from Europe’s expansion. This conference is a follow-up to a series of seminars taken place in Belgrade, Istanbul and Tbilisi, where these issues were discussed in the context of the Balkans, Turkey and the Caucasus region.

The National Cancer Institute receives a new CT scan purchased with the money raised during Paul McCartney’s concert

On 16th November a new 16 slice CT scan, provided by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation, was installed in the National Cancer Institute (NCI) in Kyiv.

Exhibition “The Shooting of Jews in Ukraine: Holocaust By Bullets” opened in New York

On 23rd November 2008, in the Museum of Jewish Heritage, New York, for the first time in the United States opens an exhibition dedicated to the Holocaust in Ukraine. The event is supported by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation. The exhibition titled «The Shooting of Jews in Ukraine: Holocaust By Bullets» is formed on the basis of the evidence, both physical and testimonial, gathered by Father Patrick Desbois, a Catholic priest, with the purpose to uncover the truth behind the deaths of 1.5 million Jews in Ukraine during World War II.

The Victor Pinchuk Foundation has opened “Cradles of Hope” neonatal centre in Ivano-Frankivsk

On 28 October 2008 a new "Cradles of Hope" Neonatal Centre has opened at the Regional Family Planning Centre in Ivano-Frankivsk. The event took place under the "Cradles of Hope" National Programme initiated by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation.

British politician and public leader Mr. Anthony Charles Lynton (Tony) Blair who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1997 to 2007 will arrive to Ukraine to participate in the 5th annual summit of the international network Yalta European Strategy (YES) on invitation of Mr. Victor Pinchuk, founder and the Board Member of YES.

17 June 2008 the PinchukArtCentre presents “Paul McCartney. Paintings”

"Paul McCartney. Paintings" exhibition will open in the PinchukArtCentre from 17 June till 13 July. The exhibition presents 41 works by Sir Paul McCartney created from 1988 to 1999. Several works will be exhibited in public for the first time.

Victor Yanukovich, President of Ukraine, congratulated Victor Pinchuk being included in the list of "Time 100 World's Most Influential People": "I am happy that your considerable achievements has been recognized by the World. I am sure that you will further devote your knowledge and experience to strengthening Ukraine and popularization it abroad."

Victor Pinchuk is the first Ukrainian private citizen to be honored in the “Time 100 – The World’s 100 Most Influential People” list by Time Magazine

Mr Pinchuk is listed in the "Thinkers" section, among the most influential thinkers in the world -- along with Apple founder Steve Jobs, Minister Mentor of Singapore Lee Kuan Yew, newly appointed U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor and designer Zaha Hadid.
