Within the framework of the "New Life" project, the Victor Pinchuk Foundation has provided equipment for Neonatal Centre "Cradles of Hope" in Rivne

Continuing implementation of the program “Cradles of Hope” within the framework of the government project “New Life”, the Victor Pinchuk Foundation has provided equipment for the 29th neonatal centre “Cradles of Hope”. The official opening took place on February 26, 2013, at the Rivne Regional Neonatal Hospital. The ceremony was attended by First Deputy Head of Presidential Administration of Ukraine Iryna Akimova, First Deputy Minister of Health of Ukraine Oleksandr Kachur, Rivne regional council chairman Yuri Kichatyy and Executive director of the Victor Pinchuk Foundation Victoria Chernyavska.

In 2011 the Victor Pinchuk Foundation became a partner of the national project “New Life” initiated by the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych, and made a commitment to supply intensive care units for newborns with modern medical equipment, allocating for this purpose UAH 100 million.

Opening the center in Rivne is a continuation of partnership of the Victor Pinchuk Foundation and the National Agency for Investment and Management of National Projects. The overall cost of the medical and computer equipment the Foundation handed over to the Intensive Care Department of Rivne Regional Perinatal Hospital totals UAH 3 908 153.38.

This is the second neonatal center that the Victor Pinchuk Foundation has equipped in Rivne Region. One of the first centers “Cradles of Hope” was opened at Volodymyrets District Hospital in autumn 2006. The Victor Pinchuk Foundation has provided this center with medical equipment and supplies for the amount of UAH 679 338.

In addition, it is worth mentioning another partner of the Victor Pinchuk Foundation - Rivne Regional Children's Hospital. Over the period of 2006-2009 it was supplied with a fully equipped reanimobile for transporting babies from across the region, as well as monitoring equipment for resuscitation and intensive care unit, altogether worth UAH 889 162.

To date, 29 “Cradles of Hope” Neonatal Centers have been opened throughout Ukraine: in Chernihiv, Volodymyrets (Rivne region), Rivne, Lutsk, Poltava (2 centers), Dnipropetrovsk (2 centers), Kyiv (3 centers), Chernivtsi, Bakhchysarai, Izmail, Odesa, Simferopol (2 centers), Donetsk, Khmelnytsky, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zhytomyr, Kharkiv, Kherson, Mykolayiv, Ternopil, Sumy and Uzhgorod.

Since program launch, 205 488 infants have been born in partner hospitals, 34 324 of them were patients of the intensive care centers "Cradles of Hope". According to doctors, 17 090 babies were saved thanks, among other factors, to the equipment supplied by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation.

Total investment of the Victor Pinchuk Foundation into the "Cradles of Hope” since program launch amounts to UAH 86 408 358.00 (including UAH 48 563 179.90 spent on the joint project "New Life”).

The 8th Mental Health Center of the RETURNING Network Has Started Operating in Chernihiv

A comfortable and inclusive mental health center of the "RETURNING" (Ukrainian ПОВЕРНЕННЯ) network has opened in Chernihiv — for military personnel, veterans, and their family members. This is already the eighth hub of the nationwide "POVERNENNYA" network, founded by Victor and Olena Pinchuk to support Ukraine’s Security and Defense Forces.



The seventh mental health center of the nationwide RETURNING network has opened in Lutsk.

Each year, four thousand service members, veterans, and their family members will be able to receive high-quality, comprehensive, and free psychological support here.

This is already the sixth facility of the national network founded by Victor and Olena Pinchuk to support Ukraine’s Defense and Security Forces.
