Mriya Agro Holding and the Victor Pinchuk Foundation announce a competition for participation in “Agriprospects” educational conference for youth

"Mriya Agro Holding" and the Victor Pinchuk Foundation announce a competition among students of years 4-6 to participate in the youth education conference "Agriprospects - 2011." The conference will be held November 3 – 6, 2011, in Ternopil. As a result, there will be selected 30 best students of agricultural universities of Ukraine, who will receive comprehensive information on modern agricultural business, global trends and new technologies in agriculture on the base of "Mriya Agro Holding” enterprise.

Students wishing to participate in the project must submit a completed application form taken from the website via [email protected] and meet the following requirements: be a student of year 4-6, field of study "Agriculture" with highest average score, have a desire to grow in agronomy and speak English or German. Preliminary selection begins with an application form and telephone interviews. Applications are accepted until October 23, 2011.

Ukraine’s place on the world’s agricultural map will depend on how well the young agronomists master their profession. The youth conference is another opportunity to bring young professionals to the needs of modern agribusiness, to offer them practical knowledge and first experience ", said Vladislav Lugovskiy, director of “Mriya Agro Holding”, commenting the program mission.

“Agroprospects - 2011” conference agenda includes lectures and workshops on the following topics:

  • Current state of agricultural industry of Ukraine.
  • Global trends in agriculture.
  • Modern Ukrainian agricultural enterprise: grain elevator complex, logistics base and potato warehouses.
  • Agricultural machinery.
  • Modern technologies in plants growing.
  • Profession of Agronomist in Ukraine.

Additionally, there will be tours to the Mriya’s production units.
