At the 7th Davos Ukrainian Lunch Viktor Yanukovych and Bronislaw Komorowski will discuss the role of EURO 2012 for the development of Ukraine and Poland

On Friday, 28 January 2011, in Davos (Switzerland), the Victor Pinchuk Foundation and international investment advisory group EastOne will hold the 7th Davos Ukrainian Lunch at the occasion of the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum. This year’s Davos Ukrainian Lunch entitled ‘2012@PL&UA’ will feature President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych and President of Poland Bronislaw Komorowski.

The key topics to be discussed include the preparations to the UEFA 2012 European Football Championship (EURO 2012) that will be jointly hosted by Poland and Ukraine. The two heads of states will also focus on issues like developing the countries’ tourism potential, ways of raising investments to fund major infrastructure projects, and fostering the European and global integration of Ukraine within the framework of the cooperation with Poland – the EURO–2012 is the first ever international project on that level between Poland and Ukraine.

Around 300 leaders from business, politics, the third sector and journalists will attend the event.

The Davos Ukrainian Lunch is the most preeminent international gathering dedicated to Ukraine, held annually in Davos at the occasion of the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum. It is dedicated to giving world leaders an opportunity to learn about and discuss Ukraine’s political and economic situation and challenge. The Victor Pinchuk Foundation and international investment advisory group EastOne have been hosting the Davos Ukrainian Lunch since 2005. Since then the Ukrainian Lunch featured, among others, Viktor Yanukovych, Carl Bildt, Aleksander Kwasniewski, Chris Patten, George Soros, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, Thomas Friedman, and Arseniy Yatsenyuk.

Psychological aspects of military rehabilitation: overview of the Recover together seminar

A two-day seminar Recover together was held in Kyiv as part of the educational programme of the Victor Pinchuk and Olena Pinchuk national project RECOVERY. More than 150 participants and 30 top speakers from Ukraine, Israel, Germany and the United States gathered for a professional discussion on the psychological aspects of multidisciplinary rehabilitation teams and their interaction with military personnel.

Victor Pinchuk Foundation opened the Russian War Crimes Exhibition at The Dodd Center for Human Rights at the Connecticut University, USA

The Victor Pinchuk Foundation and PinchukArtCentre, in partnership with the Office of the President of Ukraine opened the Russian War Crimes exhibition during the Human Rights Summit at The Dodd Center for Human Rights at the University of Connecticut (USA). The project shows photos taken from all over Ukraine since the start of Russia’s brutal and unprovoked full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022. Even so, it only addresses a fraction of the committed crimes. It makes the Western audience witness the stories of torture, executions, and bombardments committed by Russians against Ukraine’s service members and civilians.

October 26, 2023. -- The Ukrainian businessman and philanthropist Victor Pinchuk has accepted the Thomas J. Dodd Prize in International Justice and Human Rights on behalf of the Babyn Yar Holocaust Memorial Center.  The University of Connecticut awards the Thomas J. Dodd Prize in International Justice and Human Rights biennially to an individual or group who has made a significant contribution to the advancement of international justice and global human rights.
