ArtReview ranks Victor Pinchuk 37th among the most influential figures in contemporary art

In the 2010 Power 100 ranking of ArtReview magazine Ukrainian businessman, public figure and founder of the PinchukArtCentre Victor Pinchuk is ranked #37.

The Power 100 ranking, published each year at this time, is a comprehensive listing of the artworld’s most powerful figures. Entrants are ranked according to a combination of influence over the production of art internationally, financial clout and activity in the previous 12 months. Artists, collectors, gallerists and curators are included in the ranking, as well as organizers of major art fairs and museum and foundation directors.

Victor Pinchuk is included in the list for the third time – in 2009 and 2008 he was ranked 53rd and 67th respectively.

ArtReview on Victor Pinchuk’s move upwards in the Power 100 ranking: “This year he has widened his influence by joining the board of MOCA in Los Angeles and establishing the Future Generation Art Prize, an international prize for young artists. Attracting a jury that includes Daniel Birnbaum, Robert Storr and Ai Weiwei, the biennial prize will see an artist under thirty-five (from an already published shortlist) awarded $100,000 this December.”

This year’s Power 100 top five figures include gallerists Larry Gagosian, Iwan Wirth and David Zwirner, Swiss curator Hans Ulrich Obrist and director of MoMA Glenn D. Lowry.

Victor Pinchuk’s other rankings in 2010 include being listed as one of the "2010 Time 100 - The World's Most Influential People" in Time Magazine, published on April 29, 2010. He was also #1 in the TOP-ten ranking of Ukraine’s advocates abroad, according to a survey conducted by the Institute of World Policy.

Vinnytsia Rehabilitation Center for Injured Military Personnel RECOVERY Expands Its Capabilities

The innovative rehabilitation center for injured military personnel, RECOVERY, in the city of Vinnytsia is expanding its rehabilitation and treatment capabilities. As part of the center’s expansion, 12 beds have been set up in the ward department at one of the region’s key medical facilities, and additional halls have been opened in the rehabilitation and treatment area.

Innovative RECOVERY Rehabilitation Center for Wounded Soldiers Launched in Lutsk

The innovative rehabilitation center for wounded soldiers, part of the national RECOVERY network, has launched in Lutsk. Equipped with cutting-edge technology, the center's multidisciplinary team will provide free services to over 1,500 soldiers annually. This is the 13th center in the RECOVERY network, founded by Victor and Olena Pinchuk to support the security and defense forces.

Within the framework of the Ukraine Relief Fund, a joint charitable initiative established by the Victor and Olena Pinchuk and the Victor Pinchuk Foundation, Eric and Wendy Schmidt and Schmidt Futures, Robert F. Smith and Vista Equity Partners, Andrew and Nicola Forrest's Minderoo Foundation, Bill Ford, and the General Atlantic Foundation, purchased an Olympic Brainz Monitor electroencephalograph from the world's leading manufacturer NATUS (USA) for the needs of the Neonatal Centre of the National Children's Specialized Hospital OKHMATDYT, worth UAH 1,570,000.00.
