Public lecture by Robert Pindyck, co-author of the bestseller “Microeconomics”

Kyiv School of Economy (KSE) under support of the Victor Pinchuk Foundation hosts a public lecture "Contemporary economics and its application" by Dr. Robert Pindyck, a professor of the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA.

Lecture starts 17:00 May 25 2007 at the conference hall of the "Leonardo" business center, 17/52-A Bohdan Khmelnytskyi Str. During the public lecture Dr. Pindyck will speak on the practical use of the microeconomics in the real life, for example, explain how to make analysis of the market structure, describe the price setting strategies, speak on the bundling, brand promotion and other strategies for gaining and securing the market power.

Also featuring KSE graduates Andriy Norets, econometrics, microeconomics and labor economics specialist from the Princeton University and Tatiana Andreyeva, healthcare economics specialist from the Yale university. Salutatory address is delivered by Yuriy Ekhanurov, KSE Board of Directors member and the MP.

The event may be interesting in that the economists of the Big Three universities: Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Yale university, Princeton University will gather in one place.

Discussion moderator is Tom Coupe, KSE Director. English and Ukrainian interpreting is available.

Psychological aspects of military rehabilitation: overview of the Recover together seminar

A two-day seminar Recover together was held in Kyiv as part of the educational programme of the Victor Pinchuk and Olena Pinchuk national project RECOVERY. More than 150 participants and 30 top speakers from Ukraine, Israel, Germany and the United States gathered for a professional discussion on the psychological aspects of multidisciplinary rehabilitation teams and their interaction with military personnel.

Victor Pinchuk Foundation opened the Russian War Crimes Exhibition at The Dodd Center for Human Rights at the Connecticut University, USA

The Victor Pinchuk Foundation and PinchukArtCentre, in partnership with the Office of the President of Ukraine opened the Russian War Crimes exhibition during the Human Rights Summit at The Dodd Center for Human Rights at the University of Connecticut (USA). The project shows photos taken from all over Ukraine since the start of Russia’s brutal and unprovoked full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022. Even so, it only addresses a fraction of the committed crimes. It makes the Western audience witness the stories of torture, executions, and bombardments committed by Russians against Ukraine’s service members and civilians.

October 26, 2023. -- The Ukrainian businessman and philanthropist Victor Pinchuk has accepted the Thomas J. Dodd Prize in International Justice and Human Rights on behalf of the Babyn Yar Holocaust Memorial Center.  The University of Connecticut awards the Thomas J. Dodd Prize in International Justice and Human Rights biennially to an individual or group who has made a significant contribution to the advancement of international justice and global human rights.
