Carl Bildt has joined the Board of Yalta European Strategy

The Yalta European Strategy (YES) is pleased to announce the appointment of Carl Bildt, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Sweden (2006-2014), Prime Minister of Sweden (1991-1994) and member of the International Advisory Council under the President of Ukraine, as a new member of the YES Board.

Commenting on the new appointment YES founder and member of the Board Victor Pinchuk said: “We are delighted to welcome Carl Bildt to the Board. With his unique blend of skills and extensive experience in foreign affairs, he will be a great addition to the Board in supporting YES’ mission to integrate Ukraine with the Europe and the world”.

In February, 2016, YES welcomed the Ambassador Wolfgang Ischinger, Chairman of the Munich Security Conference, to the Board.

The YES Board is chaired by President of Poland (1995-2005) Aleksander Kwaśniewski and consists of the following members: YES founder Victor Pinchuk; President of the European Parliament (2002-2004), Member of the European Parliament (1989-2004) Pat Cox; High Representative for Common Foreign and Security Policy of the European Union (1999-2009), distinguished fellow in Foreign Policy at Brookings Javier Solana; Vice President of Havas Group and Executive Co-Chairman of Havas Worldwide Stephane Fouks.

Yalta European Strategy (YES) provides an open dialogue on issues affecting the European Union, Ukraine and other countries. This non-partisan organization was established in 2004 by the Ukrainian businessman and philanthropist Victor Pinchuk.

The YES Annual Meetings have become the leading platform to discuss paths to European, Ukrainian and global development. These meetings gather together over 350 politicians, diplomats, statesmen, journalists, analysts and business leaders from more than 20 countries. They bring the best international thinking to Ukraine, put Ukraine on the international map, and they have over a decade built a network of international supporters for the country.

Victor and Olena Pinchuk have announced the launch of RETURNING, a groundbreaking national initiative to support the mental health of Ukraine’s military personnel, veterans, and their families who have suffered psychological trauma due to Russian aggression. The RETURNING project aims not only to provide access to professional mental health services but also to build a systemic support network for those who have endured the most harrowing experiences of war.

January 10, 2025, Davos, Switzerland. —  Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine has continued for nearly three years. Ukrainians keep fighting not only for their independence, but for the security of Europe, the West and the world, for freedom and for Western values. To emphasize that Ukraine’s prevailing against Russian aggression is in the core interest of Ukraine’s international partners and strong support therefore makes sense also in a very pragmatic way, the Victor Pinchuk Foundation will host several events during the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos 2025. Besides the traditional Davos Ukrainian Breakfast discussion, the foundation will present the project 'Your Country First – Win With Us' and will again co-organize the Ukraine House Davos.

In Chernivtsi, the Largest Center for Injured Soldiers in the National RECOVERY Network Opens

The 15th innovative rehabilitation center for injured soldiers has begun operations in Chernivtsi. Every year, over 2,000 defenders of Ukraine will be able to access high-quality, free rehabilitation services at the center. Currently, it is the largest facility in the RECOVERY network, established by Victor and Olena Pinchuk to support Ukraine’s Security and Defense Forces.
