Ukraine’s reform team and international leaders at the Ukrainian Breakfast in Davos on January 23

On Friday, January 23, 2015, in Davos (Switzerland), the Victor Pinchuk Foundation and international investment advisory group EastOne will hold the Ukrainian Breakfast, the traditional private event organized at the occasion of the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum.

This year the interactive discussion of Ukrainian and international leaders will focus on what the new leadership, Ukrainian society, and Ukraine’s international partners expect from each other to address the tremendous challenges Ukraine faces.

Among the speakers and commentators will be José Manuel Barroso, the 11th President of the European Commission; Carl Bildt, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Sweden (2006 - 2014); Lawrence H. Summers, Charles W. Eliot University Professor, Harvard University Kennedy School of Government; George Soros, Chairman, Soros Fund Management and Founder, Open Society Foundations; Aivaras Abromavičius, Minister of Economics and Trade of Ukraine; Natalie Jaresko, Minister of Finance of Ukraine; Dmytro Shymkiv, Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of Ukraine, former Head of Microsoft Ukraine, Valeriia Gontareva, Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine, and Serhiy Leshchenko, Member of the Parliament of Ukraine.

Thomas Friedman, foreign affairs Op-Ed columnist of the New York Times, will moderate; Mustafa Nayyem, Member of Parliament of Ukraine will be co-moderator.

Leaders from politics, business, the third sector and journalists will attend the event which has been organized annually since 2005 by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation and international investment advisory group EastOne at the occasion of the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum to promote Ukraine and bring Ukrainian and international leaders together.

The event will be off the record in accordance with the rules of the World Economic Forum.

The Davos Ukrainian Lunch (Davos Ukrainian Breakfast in 2015) is the international gathering dedicated to Ukraine, held annually in Davos at the occasion of the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum. The Victor Pinchuk Foundation is an international, private and non-partisan philanthropic foundation based in Ukraine. It was established in 2006 by businessman and public figure Victor Pinchuk. Victor Pinchuk Foundation funds medical equipment maintenance and supplies for Cradles of Hope centre in Vinnytsia

As part of its technical support for Cradles of Hope partnership centres, the Victor Pinchuk Foundation has paid the cost of repairing a neonatal incubator and an electroencephalograph, and purchased supplies to ensure the smooth operation of medical equipment in the neonatal intensive care unit of the Vinnytsia Regional Pirogov Perinatal Centre.

The WorldWideStudies program of the Victor Pinchuk Foundation signed a partnership with Central European University (CEU) to co-finance education of Ukrainian students

Starting from September 2021, grantees of the WorldWideStudies program who enrolled in Master's programs at Central European University will be able to receive the remaining funds from the educational institution. Funding will be available regardless of the department and major chosen.
