The Victor Pinchuk Foundation and YES to announce an open competition for Ukrainian students to participate in the 11th YES Annual Meeting

Continuing to engage Ukrainian youth in global debates with leading international and Ukrainian politicians, businessmen and experts to form the young generation of responsible leaders, the Victor Pinchuk Foundation and the Yalta European Strategy (YES) announce an open competition for Ukrainian students of 3-6 courses to participate in the 11th YES Annual Meeting to be held in Kyiv on September 11-13, 2014.

The main requirements for potential candidates are active civic position, readiness to discuss economic, political and social problems of Ukraine and worldwide, fluent English. Students’ professional specialization doesn’t matter.

The YES Annual Meetings held in Yalta’s Livadia Palace since 2004 have become an open platform to discuss and look for new ideas and views on paths to European, Ukrainian and global development. These meetings bring together over 200 politicians, diplomats, statesmen, journalists, analysts and business leaders from more than 20 countries. The dialogue on global challenges broadens the vision on the situation inside Ukraine and the prospects for the country’s development in the modern world. It is also an incentive to find common ground between countries, common interests and values.

Over the past four years, YES Annual Meeting has also been attended by more than 200 Ukrainian students and young professionals - the Victor Pinchuk Foundation educational programs’ "Zavtra.UA" and "WorldWideStudies" fellows. This year, to engage in the YES Forum discussions wider range of active youth, the Victor Pinchuk Foundation announced an Open Call for not only its fellows but other students as well.

To take part in the competition, applicants should fill in a questionnaire by link before August 17, 2014.

The winners will be selected by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation and YES upon a result of receiving the applications. Participants of the Forum will be able to discuss with key speakers and experts topical issues of development and reformation of the country, regional and international challenges and more.
