In the art world at present, with a calendar dominated by what seems like a near-weekly schedule of art fairs and where conversations focus with increasing fervency on the market, one would be forgiven for questioning why exactly a good portion of that world has congregated in Venice this week. The fact that an equal portion of that world opted not to come to the 56th Venice Biennale’s preview—whether due to the impending auction season and next week’s opening of Frieze New York or generally overbooked travel schedules both for work and play—and will instead stop by pre- or post-Art Basel, suggests that it’s not exactly the first priority on everyone’s list. But is the Biennale on its last legs? Hardly.

Unique rehabilitation centre of the RECOVERY national network founded by Victor and Olena Pinchuk launched in Kyiv

The RECOVERY innovative rehabilitation centre for wounded soldiers has opened its doors in Kyiv. Built from scratch on the site of a public hospital, the Centre meets the highest international standards of inclusion: wide corridors and doorways, sanitary and hygienic areas for patients with limited mobility. The Centre is fitted with the cutting-edge equipment. The RECOVERY project founded by Victor and Olena Pinchuk helps Ukrainian wounded soldiers recover to the highest standards of rehabilitation.

Pompeo joined the public discussion “US Support For Ukraine - What Must Be Done and Why It Matters” organized by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation and Yalta European Strategy (YES). The participants in the meeting discussed effective means for Ukraine’s response to Russia’s brutal and unprovoked full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Ukrainian leading opinion makers, experts, politicians, civil society, media representatives and Ukrainian students were among the participants of the event.
