11.01.2007 - 10th anniversary of the international education consortium EERC with the presentation of Kiev School of Economics (KSE) and public lectures by doctor Francis Fukuyama and Nobel Prize winner doctor Robert Engle

A presentation on “The Kiev School of Economics” project of the Victor Pinchuk Foundation, in conjunction with the Economic Education and Research Consortium Kiev (EERC), took place in the Kiev on 13 October, 2006. Over a next decade, The Victor Pinchuk Foundation will allocate 10 million dollars to this project.

According to the founders’ plan, the strategic goal of the KSE is the formation of a new generation of Ukrainian economists and practitioner-executives. The KSE development strategy envisions the establishment of an international discussion club on vital problems and strategies for the Ukrainian and world economies, with participation of noted researchers, politicians and businessmen.

During the presentation, this kind of discussions arose on the topics touched upon in the public lectures of the world famous scientists – political analyst Francis Fukyama, author of the classical work “The End of History”, and Robert Engle, the 2003 winner of the Noble Prize in Economics. Many representatives of Ukraine’s political and economic elite gathered to listen to these lectures and to participate in the debates.
