Prospects for development of East European region to be discussed at the Yalta Annual Meeting of YES
A discussion dedicated to the problems and prospects for Eastern Europe development is on the agenda of the 8th Yalta Annual Meeting. Nobel Prize winner Paul Krugman to analyze future of market economy and democracy at the 8th Yalta Annual Meeting
The world’s preeminent economist and publicist, winner of the Nobel Prize in Economics 2008 Paul Krugman will appear at the 8th Annual Meeting of Yalta European Strategy (YES) with his special speech entitled “The Future of Western Democracy and Market Economy”. The speech will be delivered in the evening of the first conference day – Friday, September 16.

Exhibition “Shoah by Bullets: Mass shootings of Jews in Ukraine 1941–1944”opened today in Kyiv, commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Babi Yar tragedy
The exhibition is organized by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation in partnership with the Memorial de la Shoah, Yahad – In Unum and the Ukrainian Embassies of Israel, France, Germany and the United States. It will be on display at the ‘Ukrainian House’ (2, Khreschatyk, Kyiv) from September 9 to October 3, 2011.

On 25 February 2009 the names of the 20 shortlisted nominees for the PinchukArtCentre Prize, a nationwide prize in contemporary art for young Ukrainian artists, have been announced.

Damien Hirst donated his painting to the Cradles of Hope Programme implemented in Ukraine by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation

The £300 000 proceeds from selling the «Dark Days» by Damien Hirst will be handed over to the Cradles of Hope, a programme developed by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation and aimed at providing aid to newborns in Ukraine.
