Independence Concert is the social initiative aimed at strengthening trust and understanding within Ukrainian society.

Independence Concert is addressing the ideals, which melted ice of the "Cold War" in the hearts of millions of people 30 years ago and improved our World. Ideology and spirit of The Beatles contributed to development of the democratic pursuits of many Soviet people, which, ultimately, triggered peaceful disintegration of USSR and independence of the former Soviet republics.

Addressing the Ukrainian audience Paul McCartney said: "I am very excited as I am invited to play concert at the Maydan in Kyiv on June 14. Me and my band are going to be there - I believe it will be a great night. I hope to see all of you. So, come - it will be an unforgettable day for the whole Ukraine. Let the rock'n'roll rhythms unite all of us".

Victor Pinchuk: "30 years ago one could hardly imagine it. 20 years ago one could scarcely hope for it. 10 years ago one could only dream about it. 5 years ago we could only envy our neighbors for whom it had become a reality. But today has come. For the first time in Maydan we will listen to the songs, which have once changed the world and brought about a new culture. Songs which we grew up with to become what we are.

These songs told us about simple but nonetheless important things - that true love can not be bought and true friendship can not be sold. That much more things unite people than divide them, that it is not a formidable task to improve ourselves and the whole world especially if our efforts are united.

We have not had many occasions to unite recently. Not to group under some political flags but to gather together indeed. That's why I hope that the action and the concert will help to bring us together East and West, to make closer youth and maturity, to unite different beliefs and aspirations into one national idea - building of free, tolerant and successful country."
