Four Seasons Chamber Orchestra

The Four Seasons Orchestra
Mr. Pinchuk and the Victor Pinchuk Foundation have long supported various arts projects in Ukraine, and have taken a particular interest in classical music. The Garry Logvin Four Seasons chamber orchestra (Vremena Goda) in Dnepropetrovsk was formed in April 1993 as part of an initiative by Garry Logvin, a noted Ukrainian violinist, who is also a concertmaster of the orchestra of Dnepropetrovsk Opera and Ballet House, and an honored artist of Ukraine. Also involved in the initiative was Dmitry Logvin, a conductor, and an honored art worker of Ukraine.
Victor Pinchuk has been patronizing this orchestra for its whole history.
Today, the orchestra, conducted by Dmitry Logvin, has played more than 100 concerts, and its programs included pieces by J.S. Bach, Mozart, Haydn, Vivaldi, Grieg, Chaikovsky, Bortnyansky, Shostakovich, as the popular miniatures of Kreisler, Mancini, Gershwin, and Piazzolla.
Among the orchestra accomplishments are well-regarded performances in a number of Ukrainian cities, two musical video films (Divertissement and Serenade), the first CD, “Spring” recorded by Handel Classic Audi (Germany) in 1997. In December 2005, the orchestra released its second CD, which included popular miniatures from the orchestra repertoire. The third CD, “Summer” has been recorded and is ready for release.
The Four Seasons orchestra is a regular participant in the international festival “Vladimir Krainev Invites”. Artistic friendship and cooperation unite the orchestra with soloists of the Virtuoses of Moscow Chamber Orchestra led by Vladimir Spivakov, concertmaster Arkadiy Fouter (violinist), Mikhail Milman (violoncello), and Aleksey Utkin (oboe).
