Aspirations of Ukraine will be Discussed in Davos
On January 26th, during the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, Viktor Pincuk will hold the traditional lunch conference on Ukraine.
The theme of the 2007 conference is "Where Ukraine is Heading?" The participants will discuss economic, energy and geopolitical challenges for Ukraine and the entire world. The agenda will cover economic growth, stability and opportunities for economic growth in Ukraine, energy problems of Ukraine, Europe and Russia, and also geopolitical challenges, including Ukraine's relations with the EU, WTO, NATO and NIS.
Among the participants will be Ukrainian Prime Minister Viktor Yushchenko, President of Latvia Vaira Vike-Freiberga, former Presidents of the USA and Poland Bill Clinton and Aleksander Kwasniewski, EU Commissioner for Enlargement Olli Rehn, American businessman George Soros, and former Minster of Finance of France Dominique Strauss-Kahn.
It is the third Ukrainian lunch conference in Davos within the framework of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting. The Ukrainian lunch has become one of the most respected international discussion platforms for discussing Ukraine and its development over this time. More than 100 politicians, businessmen and civic activists participate annually in the lunch conference. The conference is organized by the Viktor Pinchuk Foundation and Interpipe corporation, the first Ukrainian company-participant of the World Economic Forum.
