2 years since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine: contribution of Victor and Elena Pinchuk to bringing the Victory closer

Over the two years since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, INTERPIPE, Geo Alliance, Starlight Media Group, together with the Victor Pinchuk Foundation, have contributed over UAH 5.77 billion to help the country, military, medics, civilians and rehabilitate the wounded soldiers.

The key areas are assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and rehabilitation of the military, support for internally displaced persons and civilians affected by the hostilities, assistance to medical institutions and promotion of Ukraine's interests in the world, attracting and strengthening international support for Ukraine during the war.

Assistance to the military and rehabilitation

Systematic targeted assistance is provided to the brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Territorial Defence Forces and the National Guard of Ukraine. This includes armoured vehicles, engineering vehicles, armoured ambulances, high-tech UAVs and drones, pick-ups, trucks, night vision devices, radios and Starliners, spare parts, tactical medicine for soldiers and medics, and much more. In addition, the company has founded and operates “the Dovzhyk” aerial reconnaissance school, which has trained more than 5,000 cadets in piloting multi-rotor and FPV drones.

To help the military recover from their injuries as quickly as possible, Victor and Olena Pinchuk have created and are expanding the national network of innovative rehabilitation centres RECOVERY. 10 RECOVERY rehabilitation centres already provide quality and free services to the military in Kyiv, Lviv, Rivne, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytsky, Cherkasy, Odesa (two centres) and Dnipropetrovs'k region (two centres). In total, more than 7,000 patients have already received rehabilitation care in the centres of the RECOVERY national network. The founders of the project - Victor and Olena Pinchuk – plan to expand the network to at least 16 rehabilitation centres by the end of 2024, where about 20,000 servicemen can recover annually. 400 healthcare professionals have been trained as part of the RECOVERY project, and 1,105 healthcare professionals have taken part in workshops on the use of innovative equipment at RECOVERY rehabilitation centres.

To provide comprehensive support to mobilised employees, Interpipe has a corporate assistance headquarters. The company provides its soldiers (about 1,000 employees) with everything they need: from ammunition to drones and cars, and employees also receive medical and legal support.

Humanitarian and medical aid

More than 1.72 million people, including internally displaced persons and war-affected people, have received assistance from the Victor Pinchuk Foundation and the Ukraine Relief Fund.   More than 170 sheltered people were provided with basic necessities such as plumbing, heaters, household appliances, bed linen and other items for a comfortable life.

In the first months of the full-scale invasion, emergency assistance was provided to medical facilities close to the war zone. 165 hospitals in Ukraine received medical equipment (including ventilators, anaesthetic stations, patient monitors and others), generators, beds and consumables. Perinatal centres and children's hospitals across Ukraine were provided with special incubators for evacuating newborns to bomb shelters and heating systems for premature babies during blackouts. To provide emergency medical care, we purchased fully equipped ambulances, including special armoured vehicles, and donated medical bags with supplies.

To support women's mental health, the Elena Pinchuk Foundation has organised training for Ukrainian psychologists under the Regeneration programme, and 1,300 women have recovered their psychological state and returned to active life.

Promoting Ukraine's interests in the world, attracting and strengthening international support for Ukraine in time of war

The Victor Pinchuk Foundation has been consistently organising platforms to promote Ukraine's interests in the world to draw attention to Ukraine's urgent needs to ensure victory in the fight against Russian aggression. This includes representing Ukraine at the World Economic Forum, including the Ukraine House in Davos and Ukrainian events in Davos; Ukrainian events in Munich on the margins of the Munich Security Conference, and, together with the PinchukArtCentre, exhibitions around the world on Russian war crimes and the struggle and lives of Ukrainians during the war (Russian War Crimes, Ukraine is You, Deciding Your Tomorrow).
