Victor Pinchuk Foundation to Hold the 10th Annual Youth Forum of Zavtra.UA and WorldWideStudies Educational Programs

On June 16-18, 2017, Victor Pinchuk Foundation will hold the 10th Annual Youth Forum of Zavtra.UA and WorldWideStudies (WWS) scholarship programs in Kyiv. The event will welcome about 400 scholarship holders, among which 9 grantees of WWS program to study abroad at the world’s best universities and 100 new Zavtra.UA scholars who will get support for their studies and implementation of social projects in Ukraine.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman, Dzerkalo Tyzhnya newspaper editor-in-chief Yuliya Mostovaya, MP, civic activist, and founder of the Global Office Mustafa Nayem, businessman and philanthropist Victor Pinchuk, musician and public leader Svyatoslav Vakarchuk will speak to the scholarship holders at the opening of the Forum. They will encourage the youth to foster the positive and innovative changes in the country.

Also, during a three-day workshop held in partnership with Global Office NGO, Zavtra.UA grantees will focus on the challenges faced by citizens and the cities of Donets'k and Lugans’k regions. The students will gain practical skills and knowledge from leading Ukrainian experts, representatives of NGOs and civic activists, as well as will develop social projects dedicated to Eastern Ukraine issues.

The aim of Zavtra.UA and WorldWideStudies programs has been to help create, over the 11 past years, a generation which has an excellent education and skills, as well as the experience of having been exposed to international best practices and ideas. A generation which will think and feel differently and therefore be able to make a strong contribution to building a new country – in line with the Victor Pinchuk Foundation’s mission since 2006: to empower future generations to become the change makers of tomorrow.

Since 2006, the nationwide scholarship program Zavtra.UA has supported over 2300 young Ukrainians in their studies, and encouraged them to create social projects to change Ukraine. Since 2010, the WorldWideStudies scholarship program has provided grants for more than 100 of Ukraine’s best students to receive a Masters’ degree at the world’s best universities and then return to apply their knowledge to transform Ukraine.
