Illya Chichkan and Mihara Yasuhiro to represent Ukraine at the 53rd International Art Exposition, 2009 Venice Biennale03.04.2009
The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Ukraine and the PinchukArtCentre are pleased to announce that Illya Chichkan (Ukraine) and Mihara Yasuhiro (Japan) will be representing Ukraine at the 53rd Venice Biennale with the exhibition entitled Steppes of Dreamers Damien Hirst Requiem at the PinchukArtCentre in Ukraine16.03.2009
The PinchukArtCentre (Kyiv, Ukraine) is pleased to announce Requiem, a major retrospective of over 100 works dating from 1990 to 2008, by Damien Hirst. Requiem opens on 25th April and continues through 20th September 2009 Over half a million people visited the PinchukArtCentre02.03.2009

On 25 February 2009 the names of the 20 shortlisted nominees for the PinchukArtCentre Prize, a nationwide prize in contemporary art for young Ukrainian artists, have been announced. Sam Taylor-Wood by Sam Taylor-Wood and 21, a group show by contemporary Russian artists, on the display in the PinchukArtCentre19.01.2009
On 17 January the PinchukArtCentre welcomed the public with its new exhibitions: a solo exhibition by a British artist Sam Taylor-Wood and a group exhibition of the contemporary Russian artists, 21 RUSSIA. Solo exhibition by Sam Taylor Wood and a collective exposition of works by modern Russian artists will be opened in the PinchukArtCentre22.12.2008
On 17 January 2009, the PinchukArtCentre will present two concurrent large-scale exhibitions: first ever solo exhibition to be held in Eastern Europe by a British artist Sam Taylor-Wood, and 21 RUSSIA – a group project of the contemporary Russian artists. |
