16.09.2006 - Opening one of the largest contemporary art centres in the Eastern Europe – PinchukArtCentre with it’s first exhibition “New Space”

The PinchukArtCentre, one of the largest contemporary art centers in the Eastern Europe, opened in Kiev on 16 September 2006. The first exhibition, “New Space,” presented the artworks of international and well-known Ukrainian artists selected by curators Nicolas Bourriaud (France) and Oleksandr Soloviov (Ukraine). More than 35 000 visitors view the exhibition before it closed on 16 December.

Names of 20 shortlisted nominees for the PinchukArtCentre Prize have been announced

On 25 February 2009 the names of the 20 shortlisted nominees for the PinchukArtCentre Prize, a nationwide prize in contemporary art for young Ukrainian artists, have been announced.

On 17 January the PinchukArtCentre welcomed the public with its new exhibitions: a solo exhibition by a British artist Sam Taylor-Wood and a group exhibition of the contemporary Russian artists, 21 RUSSIA.

Solo exhibition by Sam Taylor Wood and a collective exposition of works by modern Russian artists will be opened in the PinchukArtCentre

On 17 January 2009, the PinchukArtCentre will present two concurrent large-scale exhibitions: first ever solo exhibition to be held in Eastern Europe by a British artist Sam Taylor-Wood, and 21 RUSSIA – a group project of the contemporary Russian artists.
