16.09.2006 - Opening one of the largest contemporary art centres in the Eastern Europe – PinchukArtCentre with it’s first exhibition “New Space”

The PinchukArtCentre, one of the largest contemporary art centers in the Eastern Europe, opened in Kiev on 16 September 2006. The first exhibition, “New Space,” presented the artworks of international and well-known Ukrainian artists selected by curators Nicolas Bourriaud (France) and Oleksandr Soloviov (Ukraine). More than 35 000 visitors view the exhibition before it closed on 16 December.

Marking its third anniversary with the “Night At The Museum – 3” project, on 16 September the PinchukArtCentre will stay open till 3 a.m.

On Wednesday, 16 September 2009, the PinchukArtCentre will celebrate its third anniversary. On this day, for the first time in history of Ukrainian modern art the PinchukArtCentre will host the “Night At The Museum” event. Especially for all admirers of contemporary art and also for those who didn’t have a chance to see the retrospective exhibition “Requiem” by Damien Hirst, the PinchukArtCentre will stay open till 3 a.m.
