Selection announced to participate in the panel for young regional leaders at the 13th YES Annual Meeting

Yalta European Strategy (YES), in cooperation with the Ukrainian School of Political Studies, announces the contest to participate in the joint project for regional leaders in the framework of the 13^th YES Annual Meeting, which will take place on September, 15-17, in Kyiv. Participants of the project will have the opportunity to discuss main Ukrainian and global challenges, as well as cooperation between Ukraine and Europe, with world leaders, international and Ukrainian experts, leading Ukrainian and international politicians, businessmen and civic activists. The registration for applicants will be open from July, 25 till August, 5, 2016.

The contest welcomes applicants who:

• are mayors, deputy mayors and deputy governors, deputies of regional, city and district councils, public officials, engaged in regional, city and district councils, regional political party offices;
• have significant professional achievements and demonstrate leadership qualities;
• have an active civil position and are able to apply acquired knowledge in their daily activities to benefit the society;
• are Ukrainian citizens under 35 years old with the higher education degree;
• knowledge of foreign languages is an additional advantage.

The selection of participants will be conducted in a single stage.

• Application to participate in the young regional leaders’ panel at the 13^th YES Annual Meeting can be downloaded here. Completed application form must be sent to [email protected] with “Participation in YES” in subject of the letter.
• Applications can be submitted until August 5, 2016. Documents sent after this date will not be taken into consideration.
• All candidates will receive confirmation of application receipt within three working days. In case you do not receive the confirmation, please contact the Project Assistant Valeriia Yakushko via email: [email protected] or office phone: +38 044 531 3768.
• Based on results of application review, by August 15, 2016, the participants will be selected to take part in the panel for young regional leaders at the 13^th YES Annual Meeting. Reserve for the joint project of the Ukrainian School for Political Studies and YES will be formed at the same time.
• Information indicated in the application form is confidential and is not subject to disclosure. Application review is conducted consistently and impartially by the members of the Selection Committee which includes competent representatives of the main target groups of the School. The decision of the Committee is collective. The Ukrainian School of Political Studies and YES reserve the right not to provide explanations regarding the decisions taken by members of the Committee.
