Today is the 5th anniversary of Kyiv Perinatal Centre, partner of the Cradles of Hope project

On February 10, 2017. Kyiv Perinatal Centre - in the creation of which the Viktor Pinchuk Foundation was involved in 2012 as part of the implementation of the Cradles of Hope project – celebrates its 5th anniversary. Today, it is the most powerful by the number of deliveries maternity in-patient facility in Ukraine that is specialized in hosting preterm deliveries and nursing preterm babies.

Overall during the period of partnership with Kyiv Perinatal Centre under the Cradles of Hope project, 34 468 babies have been born in the centre, including 2 727 newborn (whereas 331 with extremely low weight between 500 and 999 gram at birth) who received help in the intensive care unit. According to the specialists of the centre, it has become possible to save 1 969 babies also thanks to the medical equipment provided by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation.

The overall investment of the Victor Pinchuk Foundation in Kyiv Perinatal Centre during the whole period of cooperation (2012 – 2016) has amounted to UAH 4 442 468 (including UAH 138 462 refurbishment works and purchase of expendables).
