Spell Your NameThe Victor Pinchuk Foundation in partnership with the University of Southern California Shoah Foundation Institute, supports the distribution and promotion of “Spell Your Name” a documentary film on the Holocaust in Ukraine co-executive produced by Steven Spielberg and Victor Pinchuk. The film, directed by Serghey Bukovsky, is based on the testimonies of Holocaust survivors and those who rescued the Jews from the Nazi massacre.

The film’s premier which was organized by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation on the 18th of October 2006 in Kyiv, was attended by Mr. Spielberg as well as 2000 representatives of business, political and cultural elite of Ukraine and more than 200 journalists. A number of Holocaust survivors from Ukraine were honored guests. The film “Spell Your Name” was highly praised by spectators and critics. Mr. Spielberg said he considers “Sergey Bukovskiy’s film to be one of the brightest films on the Holocaust that I have ever seen.”

The Foundation in partnership with the USC Shoah Foundation Institute, has developed an educational guide on the Holocaust that is based on the film. In 2007 and 2008 a training program for history teachers through Ukraine will be organized.
